Man Li, Ph.D.
Dr. Man
Li is the IVF Laboratory Director at FSAC. She completed
her medical education residency in China from 1985-1994. In
1998, she received her Ph.D. degree in human reproductive
medicine. Her extensive training and research experience in
aspects of embryo culture, intracytoplasmic sperm Injection
(ICSI) and pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) was
obtained in Sweden and at Florida University.
Dr. Li
was among the first scientists performing PGD and using ICSI
to treat male factor infertility in China, beginning in
1994. She is an acknowledged expert in IVF embryo culture
and embryo micromanipulation, including ICSI, embryo biopsy,
and PGD. Dr. Li has been honored on several occasions by
serving as a faculty member for embryo biopsy and PGD
training courses for embryologists throughout the United
States.
Dr. Man
Li is certified by the American Board of Bio-analysis (ABB)
in the fields of embryology, andrology and molecular
diagnostics as a high complexity laboratory director (HCLD)
and embryologist laboratory director (ELD). She is also
certified as a clinical specialist in molecular biology (CLSMB)
by the National Credential Agency (NCA). She is the
Laboratory Director of PGD Science, Inc., and the former
director of the division of pre-implantation genetics and
research at the ART Reproductive Center of Southern
California Reproductive Center (SCRC).
Dr. Li
has published numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed
journals. She has presented her work at the annual meeting
of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and
Pacific Coast Reproductive Society (PCRS), and serves as a
reviewer for the journal Fertility and Sterility.
