Types of LGBTQ fertility treatment

- Intrauterine insemination using donor sperm for single females or lesbian couples. In this process, the partner who will carry the baby may take medications to prepare her uterus, and our experienced team will closely monitor her to ensure that the procedure is performed at exactly the right time in her menstrual cycle. The sperm is carefully prepared in our IVF laboratory, then inserted into the woman’s uterus at the time of ovulation.
- IVF with donor eggs and a gestational carrier for single men or gay couples. With this LGBTQ fertility treatment, one or both partners can provide sperm to be combined in our laboratory with eggs from a donor of the fathers’ choice. Resulting embryos can be used to achieve pregnancy in partnership with a gestational surrogate.
- IVF with donor sperm for lesbian couples who choose reciprocal IVF, in which one partner carries the child and the other partner provides the eggs.
- Fertility preservation through sperm or egg freezing prior to hormonal or surgical gender transition. Cryopreserved sperm and eggs can be stored indefinitely, allowing for a chance to have a biological child at any point in the future.
